Paris to Disneyland

To make your way to Paris Disneyland from the the city and its airports you have to access Line A of the cities suburban train network, the RER - so you don't need to drive. This is made relatively easy because of the excellent transport links within the city of Paris.

Central Paris to Disneyland

Direct access train and metro stations to Line A within central Paris are: Charles de Gaulle Etoile,  Auberer, Chatelet Les Halles, Gare de Lyon and Nation.

Once there you take the Line A4 and not A2

From the main railway stations to Line A:

 Paris' Gare du Nord'

On arriving at' Gare du Nord' station you need to make your way to either the RER line B  in the direction of  'Robinson' / St, Remy les Chevreuse or the line D to 'Melun / Malesherbes. Both lines will take you to  Chatelet Les-Halles station (next stop) where you can catch the RER line A4 to Marne-la-Vallee (Disneyland Paris) - sometimes abbreviated to to  'MLV Chessy' on some display screens..

Chatelet Les-Halles is actually the largest underground station in Europe but don't let that put you off as it is well signposted and provides the largest choice of metro options within the city. You have to make your way to the RER line A4 and take the train in the direction of Marne-la-Vallee. On the Platform you will find an overhead illuminated sign highlighting the route (see here) of the arriving train with all the stops on that route lit up. Journey time around 1 hour.

*Please note: because of the number of lines through this station it is best avoided at peak times.

' Gare Montparnasse'
To get to Pais Disneyland from Gare Montparnasse make your way within the station to either Metro Line 4 in the direction of Porte de Clignancourt to *'Les-Halles' which connects via passageways to  where you make your way to the RER line A4 as above or Line 6 to Nation where you can again pick up RER line A4 for Marne-la-Vallee-Chessy (Disneyland Paris) - sometimes abbreviated to to  'MLV Chessy' on some display screens.

 ' Gare de Lyon'

Although Gare de Lyon is a large station over a number of levels it is again well signposted.

Gare de Lyon is served directly by RER line A so you only have to follow the signs to get to the A4 line directly to Marne-la-Vallee-Chessy (Disneyland Paris) -  sometimes abbreviated to to  'MLV Chessy' on display screens.

 ' Gare d'Austerlitz'
From Gare d'Austerlitz the simplest way to access the RER line A is to walk across the Seinne via the bridge' Pont Charles de Gaulle' (10/15 mins) to Gare de Lyon. There are buses (91,57,63) that will take you there in about 5mins if you don't fancy the walk.

 ' Gare St.Lazare'

From Gare St.Lazare, You can pick up the RER line A4 from the 'Auber' station which can be reached via walkway (15mins) or take the Metro line r to 'Opera' which is again connected via walkway. You can also take line 14 to 'Chatelet Les-Halles; where you make your way to the RER line A4 (see more detail above). You need to takethe train to  Marne-la-Vallee-Chessy (Disneyland Paris) - sometimes abbreviated to to  'MLV Chessy' on some display screens

 ' Gare de l'Est'
From Gare de l'Est take metro-line 4 in the direction Porte d'Orleans' to the station 'Les Halles' or 'Chatelet'. Both of them are connected by a walkway with the hub station 'Chatelet-les-Halles', where you change onto the RER-line A direction "Marne-la-Vallee / Chessy - Disneyland".- sometimes abbreviated to to  'MLV Chessy' on display screens.

No matter which station you take the train from, you will exit at the station 'Marne-la-Vallee / Chessy, Paris Disneyland' which is on the plaza between the Disneyland Hotel, the Walt Disney Studios and the Disney Village.

Remember: Your Paris Metro ticket is valid on RER only for travel within Zone 1 (Euro Disneyland is in Zone 5). If you're using a Paris Visite Pass, make sure it reads Zones 1-6.

You may want to take a combined ticket / round trip from Paris (Combined RATP-Disneyland Paris Pass) It consists of a roundtrip train ticket from Paris to the Euro Disneyland as well as a one-day pass to either Disneyland Park or Walt Disney Studios Park.
